Le marin a embarqué à bord du numéro 744, El Nono, qui court dans la catégorie Série. Bruno Simonnet prépare ce moment depuis vingt ans. Il a toujours voulu participer à « cette course mythique en solitaire et en deux étapes à travers l'Atlantique, sur un bateau de 6.50 mètres, une aventure qui dure depuis 30 ans, un succès renouvelé ».

Ce passionné de moto avait découvert la Mini-Transat dans les années 80. Il est retombé dans la marmite à l’occasion des trente ans de la course où il a retrouvé Pierre Rolland contre qui il avait couru. Du même coup, il a décidé de s’acheter un Dingo pour être présent au départ de la Transat 6,50. A son palmarès : la victoire à la Select 6,50 et une 3èmeplace au Trophée Marie-Agnès Péron. Bruno Simonnet est doté d’un humour décalé. En effet, il n’hésite pas à s’afficher en ciré jaune avec un bateau jouet d’enfant dans les bras.

This motorcycle enthusiast had discovered the Mini-Transat in the 80s. He fell into the pot during the thirty years of the race where he met Pierre Rolland against whom he ran. At the same time, it decided to buy a Goofy to be present at the start of the Transat 6,50. His record : the victory at the Select 6.50 and a 3rd place in Trophy Marie-Agnes Peron. Bruno Simonnet has a humor. Indeed, he does not hesitate to be displayed in yellow raincoat with a child's toy boat in his arms.
