L’athlète a renouvelé l’exploit de 2006. A 32 ans, il a de nouveau été sacré champion d’Europe du 50 km marche à Barcelone, après deux échecs aux JO et aux Mondiaux.

Yohann Diniz monte sur la première marche du podium avec un temps de 3 heures 40min et 37 secondes. Le Polonais Grzegorz Sudol et le Russe Sergey Bakulin ont terminé respectivement second et troisième. Le sportif a décroché la septième médaille française aux championnats d'Europe de Barcelone et la troisième en or après Christophe Lemaître sur 100 mètres et le décathlonien Romain Barras.

The athlete has renewed the feat in 2006. At 32, he was again crowned champions of Europe's 50km walk in Barcelona, after two failures at the Olympics and World Championships.

Yohann Diniz mounted on the top step of the podium with a time of 3 hours 40 minutes and 37 seconds. The Polish Grzegorz Sudol and the Russian Sergey Bakulin finished respectively second and third. The athlete has won the seventh French medal at the European Championships in Barcelona and the third gold after Christophe Lemaitre of 100 meters and the decathlete Romain Barras.
