Naissance du Scirocco R Cup

Volkswagen annonce une nouvelle compétition monotype axée sur le coupé Scirocco R. Le coup d’envoi de la série sera donné cette année en marge du championnat DTM.

Le Scirocco R est préparé pour la compétition et son moteur à été modifié pour fonctionner au biogas. Ce carburant permet de réduire les émissions de CO2 de 80% par rapport à l’usage de carburant conventionnel. Volkswagen revendique le championnat monotype le moins polluant au monde.

23/24 avril : Hockenheimring (Allemagne)
4/5 juin : EuroSpeedway Lausitz (Allemagne)
2/3 juillet : Norisring (Allemagne)
6-8 août : Nürburgring (Allemagne)
3/4 septembre : Brands Hatch (Grande-Bretagne)
17-19 septembre : Motorsport Arena Oschersleben (Allemagne)
15/16 octobre : Hockenheimring (Allemagne)

Birth of the Scirocco R Cup

Volkswagen announces a new one-design competition based on Scirocco coupe R. Kicking off of the series will be given this year on the sidelines of the DTM.

The Scirocco R is prepared for competition and its engine was modified to run on biogas. This fuel can reduce CO2 emissions by 80% compared to the use of conventional fuel. Volkswagen claims the championship monotype least polluting in the world.
