Tout a commencé en 2007 lorsque Michelin, en partenariat avec l’ACO, a créé le "Michelin Energy Endurance Challenge". Le défi récompensait les écuries ayant su combiner performance et efficacité énergétique pendant la course. Deux ans plus tard, Michelin est allé encore plus loin avec le MICHELIN GREEN X Challenge.

Depuis 2009, l’opération est commune aux 24 Heures du Mans, aux Le Mans Series et à l’American Le Mans Series. Quelle est la voiture qui a consommé le moins de carburant tout en optimisant les performances sur les cinq manches du Le Mans Series 2009 ? La question est d’importance car l’équipe vainqueur du MICHELIN GREEN X Challenge se verra offrir une place aux 24 Heures du Mans 2010. La réponse avant fin décembre.

MICHELIN GREEN X Challenge

The environment at the heart of the Endurance Planet. The principle of this operation launched in 2009 is to reward the best energy performance in the race.

All started in 2007 when Michelin established the "Michelin Energy Endurance Challenge" in partnership with the ACO. The challenge rewarded the efforts of teams which succeeded in combining performance with energy efficiency. Two years later, Michelin went even further with the MICHELIN GREEN X Challenge.

Since 2009, the operation is common to the Le Mans 24 Hours, Le Mans Series and American Le Mans Series. Which car has consumed the least amount of fuel while optimizing performance on the five rounds of the Le Mans Series in 2009? The issue is important because the team who will won the MICHELIN GREEN X Challenge will be offered a place at the Le Mans 24 Hours 2010. The answer by the end of December.
