Une centaine d’adhérents du Golf de Beauvallon a participé à la compétition du 23 août. Les golfeurs ont joué pour la bonne cause, puisque l’intégralité des droits d’entrée a été reversée à la Fondation Arthritis qui lutte contre les rhumatismes inflammatoires chroniques.
Didier Gayat, le directeur de ce golf situé près de Saint-Tropez, a accueilli avec enthousiasme l’initiative de l’association. L’événement a été organisé en partenariat avec le groupe APlus, spécialiste des Maisons de retraite.
Lionel Comole, porte-parole de la Fondation Arthritis était présent et il a dédicacé son livre, « La colonne Bambou », à l’occasion de la remise des prix. Le pilote a expliqué les douleurs de sa maladie, la spondylarthrite ankylosante, qui soude sa colonne vertébrale et montré à quel point il est important de se mobiliser. « Les rhumatismes inflammatoires chroniques sont très handicapants et font souffrir de jeunes personnes. Grâce à la Fondation et à la recherche, je peux faire du sport de haut niveau, participer aux championnats de France et obtenir de très bons résultats ! », a déclaré Lionel Comole. Chaque euro récolté ce jour-là va être dédié à 100 % à la recherche médicale.
One hundred members of the Golf of Beauvallon participated in the competition of August 23. They played for a good cause, since the full rights of entry has been repaid to the Arthritis Foundation that fights against chronic inflammatory rheumatic.
